What is a Dietitian?

A dietitian is a food and nutrition expert with a recognised qualification, who translates the science of nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living. A qualified dietitian is appropriately trained to deal with the nutritional management of specific clinical conditions. A dietitian will often work as part of a multidisciplinary team such as a consultant physician, physiotherapist and psychologist. As well as giving individual consultations, education can also be provided to groups, schools and businesses. Gillian offers a professional and friendly service and her approach is client-centred so the dietary advice is tailor-made to each individual or group.
